 In September Neil's mother Gwen - who prefers to be called Marmie by her grandchildren - celebrated her 80th birthday.  She lives in Adelaide close by her daughter & Neil's sister Barbara.  Neil & Jim, his father, Marmie's first husband, live in Sydney.  Marmie always says that she never wants anything for a birthday, that she has everything she wants or needs. 

So we decided to have a surprise 80th birthday celebration / family reunion where Neil & his Dad flew to Adelaide for a weekend to celebrate Marmie's milestone.  Sadly Kim, who is in San Francisco, couldn't make the trip -- well, it is a long way to go from SF to Adelaide.

With all the focus on the 'original' Gambles, Norman finally managed to get a photo with Gwen
